Obituary of Donald R. Wenslow

Donald R. Wenslow, 91, of Blossburg, PA and formerly of Erie, PA, passed away on October 8, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born at home in Nanson, PA on November 15, 1932, the son of the late Frank and Mae (Rowland) Wenslow. He graduated from Kane High School. Donald graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor's Degree in Math, then from Clarkson College with a Master's Degree in Physics. He spent his career teaching Physics at Fairview High School in Fairview; PA. Don was an advisor for the Ski Club and the Fairview High School PJAS (Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science). He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Erie, PA, Bethany Lutheran Church in Elmira, NY, and Siloa Lutheran Church in Morris Run, PA. He is survived by his sister Alberta (John) Campbell of Kansas City, MO, sister-in-law Julie Wenslow of Sapphire, NC, his daughters Sandy (Bruce) Rosenthal of Erie, PA, and Lori Wenslow of Canton, MI, his stepdaughters Lydia (Charlie) Brennan of Mansfield, PA, Becki Tengstrand Dizon of Mansfield, PA, and stepson Peter (Zsofia) Tengstrand of Auburn, NH. He leaves behind eleven grandchildren:Tiffani Trent Taylor Wenslow, Emily Long, Andrew Long, Patrick Brennan, Laura (Matt Boone) Brennan, Eric Brennan, William Brennan, Lydia (Ryan) Pennock, Adeline Tengstrand, Erik Tengstrand, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marcia Wenslow, his second wife Nancy (Johnson Tengstrand) Wenslow, brothers Ronald and James Wenslow, sons Jeffery and Gregory Wenslow, as well as grandchildren Skylar Wenslow and Danielle Taylor.
