Obituary of Peter Ensminger
Peter Jacob Ensminger, age 70, of Columbia Crossroads, PA, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. He was born on January 19, 1954, in New Jersey, a son of Alfred, Jr. and Vester (Boal) Ensminger. Peter was the husband of Amy (Webster) Ensminger with whom he shared 39 years of matrimony. He owned and operated PJ Ensminger Logging as a log truck driver. Peter enjoyed guns, rock-hounding, and fishing with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Morris Run American Legion, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Peter is survived by his mother, Vester, his wife, Amy; son, Andy (Tiffany) Ensminger of Granville Summit, PA; daughters Teresa (Frank) Woodard of Millerstown, PA, and Jessica Ensminger of Alba, PA; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; brothers, Jeffrey (Deborah) Ensminger of Lorton, VA, Steven (Michele) Ensminger of Mainesburg, PA, and Christopher (Kelly Fasse) Ensminger of Mainesburg, PA; sisters, Sue (Gary) Slater of Nichols, NY, Nancy Spencer of Williamsport, PA, and Karen Ensminger of Mainesburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred.
Friends and family are invited to call from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M. with Bill Baker officiating. Burial will take place in Lawrence Corners Cemetery in Mansfield, PA. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
