Obituary of Kathleen Leah McCarthy

Kathleen L. McCarthy, age 81, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at UPMC Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on November 22, 1942, in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Bernard and Isabel (Bartron) Kriner. Kathleen was a well-rounded person and knew something about everything. She worked as the coordinator for the Area Agency on Aging, earned her bachelor's degree at Mansfield University, and at the time of her death was enrolled at Liberty University working on her master's degree. Kathleen enjoyed singing, was very devoted to her family, and loved spending time with them. Kathleen is survived by her children, Diana (Bill) Page of Mansfield, PA, Richard Gregory (Jennifer) Archer of Raleigh, NC, Michelle Slater of Mansfield, PA, and Aaron Baker of Mansfield, PA; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister Marion Ayers of Watkins Glen, NY, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, James Wilson and Michael Wilson, and siblings, Bill Kriner, David Kriner, Marjorie Tice, and Inez Tice. In honoring Kathleen's wishes there will be no services.
