Obituary of Drucilla R. Short

Drucilla "Dru" R. Short, age 69 of Tioga, PA died Sunday, September 15, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. Dru was the wife of Clifford "Butch" Short for 43 years. She was born on August 25, 1955 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of Alfred S. and Gretchen (King) Hughes. Dru was a member of East Lawrence Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and spoiling her grandchildren. Dru is survived by her husband Butch, her mother Gretchen Hughes of Tioga, PA, a son and daughter in-law Ryan and Heather Short of Tioga, PA; grandchildren Bailey and Kaegan Short of Tioga, PA; sister Aneita Olson of Mansfield, PA; brother-in-law Richard (Dina) Henniger; sisters-in-law Sheila (Gordon) Wood, Crystal (Steve) Stage, and Vonda (Doug) Wimmer; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred "Junior" Hughes, father-in law Ramon Short, mother-in-law Donna Chapman, and Nephews Devin Stage and Chad Henniger. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 20, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM with Pastor Isaac Crocket officiating.
