Obituary of Carole E. Wescott
Carole E. "Elaine" Wescott, age 82, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Corning Hospital in Corning, NY. She was born on December 20, 1941, in Corning, NY, a daughter of Clyde and Elnora (Perigo) Willow. Elaine worked as a switchboard operator at Corning Hospital, and also at Philips Lighting in Bath, NY. She was a member of God's New Beginning Church in Harrison Valley, PA, and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
Elaine is survived by her children, Donald (Denise) Wescott, Jr. of Westfield, PA, Donna Elaine (Wayne) Phenes of Caton, NY, Dawn (James) Mudd of Lindley, NY, Deborah (Myron) Thomas of Westfield, PA, Shawn Wescott of Caton, NY, Kevin (LoRinda) Wescott of Lindley, NY, and Timothy (Danielle) Wescott of Pine City, NY; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; brother, Sheldon (Mary) Willow of Lawrenceville, PA; sisters, Gloria Willow of Ulysses, PA, and Sharon Ahearn of Harrison Valley, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Donald Richard Wescott, III.
A celebration of Elaine's life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 4pm at Caton Volunteer Fire Department 1118 Caton Rd. Corning, NY. Burial will take place in Presho Cemetery in Lindley, NY. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
