Obituary of Bobby E. Buchanan

Bobby E. Buchanan, age 81, of Liberty, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at UPMC Williamsport Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1943, in Canton, PA, a son of Clyde and Mabel (Wall) Buchanan. Bobby was married to Barbara (Fehrle) Buchanan, and they celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on June 20, 2024. He joined the Pennsylvania State Police and was assigned to the Coudersport barracks on September 28, 1967 and retired from the Mansfield barracks on August 14, 1992. Bobby was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Coudersport Scottish Rite Bodie and Irem Shriners, Blossburg Masonic Lodge #350, Arnot Sportsmen's Club, Hillside Rod & Gun Club, American Legion #303 in Canton, PA, Canton Moose Lodge #429, and Red Run Rod and Gun Club. Bobby is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert G. Buchanan of Canton, PA, and Karl F. (Sharon) Zierle of Williamsport, PA; three daughters, C. Michele (John) Kern of Jenkinsville, SC, Amy J. (Kenneth) Buck of Canton, PA, and Kristin B. (Bob) Lynn of Montoursville, PA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Dwayne (Norma) Buchanan of Canton, PA, and Doyle (Kathy) Buchanan of Canton, PA; two sisters, Darla (Bob) Wright of Ridgeway, PA, and Carola Storrs of Williamsport, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Patty Sue and Bona Lou Buchanan; a brother, Clyde Buchanan; and a granddaughter, Hannah Lynn. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 9:30-11:00am at Salem Lutheran Church 3536 Nauvoo Rd. Liberty, PA. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am.
