Obituary of Linda M. Cox

Linda M. Cox, age 77, of Wellsboro, PA, died at her daughter, Carol's home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. She was born on February 26, 1947, in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of Francis and Marjorie (Compton) Spencer. Linda was an EMT and worked as a nurses aid at UPMC Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. She loved her family – especially her great grandchildren, spending time with her sister, and playing dominoes. Linda is survived by her children, Carol (Gary) Phelps of Wellsboro, PA, Ginny Pollard of Hornell, NY, Jim Pollard of Lawrenceville, PA, and Wendy (Brian) Grist of Lawrenceville, PA; grandchildren, Michael Phelps, Benjamin (Katy Kriner) Phelps, Mindy Ellis, Stacie (Dennis) Contreras, Jimmy Pollard, Brittani (Micah) O'Neil, and Todd Olofson; nine great grandchildren; sister, Sandra (George) Pratt of Addison, NY; special friends, Barbara Cowles of Palm Bay, FL, and Susan Tomlinson, and her daughters, Lisa and Gina of Davidson, MI; special healthcare provider and friend, Judith Tubbs. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Ronald Spencer. A celebration of Linda's life will immediately follow at noon with Pastor James N. Truax officiating.
