Obituary of Donald G. Martin
Donald G. Martin, age 71, of Mainesburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was born on July 14, 1953, in Ephrata, PA, a son of Richard and Marian (Good) Martin. Donald was the husband of Debra L. (Ward) Martin. He worked as a truck driver for DOC Transportation in Ohio and enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and spending time with his family.
Donald is survived by his wife, Debra; son, Donovan Martin of Mansfield, PA; daughters, Amber Martin of Mansfield, PA, and Heaven (Jon Shapiro) Martin of Gaithersburg, MD; stepson, Tom Weaver of VA; stepdaughter, Candy Snyder of Wyalusing, PA; grandchildren, Quinn Shapiro, Ashlynn Dodge, and Tamarin Dodge; brother, Wilmer (Lorraine) Martin of Monroeton, PA; sister, Lois (Jim) Bowman of East Earl, PA; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ryan Dodge in 2006, and bonus son, Emerson R. Kipp in 2024.
Friends and family are invited to call from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at North Street Community Church, 177 North Street, Canton, PA. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00 P.M. with Calvin Yoder officiating. Burial will take place at Beech Flats Cemetery in Canton, PA.
