Obituary of Bruce A. Heisley Jr.
Bruce A. Heisley, Jr., age 76, a resident of Covington, PA and Keuka Lake, Hammondsport, NY, died on Friday August 2, 2024, at his lake home. He was born on January 31, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, a son of Bruce A. Heisley Sr. and Dorothy (Rutledge) Heisley. Bruce was the husband of Cynthia "Cindy" (Thompson) Heisley. He owned and operated his own trucking business for over 30 years, and he also drove trucks in his later years for E&J Trucking in Liberty, PA. Bruce was a member of the Arnot Sportsmen's Club, Life member of the VFW Mansfield Post 6757, where he served as Jr Vice Commander, Life member of Hillside Rod and Gun Club, and longtime member of Ironhead Motorcycle Club. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed his time on the water, ocean fishing in his younger years, and on Keuka Lake in his later years where he found his home. He was a Navy veteran and served in the Vietnam war.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Cindy, a daughter and son-in-law Nicole (Mark) Teeter of Sayre, PA, a son and daughter-in-law Matthew (Andrea) Heisley of Mansfield, PA; two grandchildren, Daniel Teeter and Dalton Heisley, and a sister and brother-in-law, Louanne (Dale) Skeenes of Philadelphia, PA.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Mansfield VFW Post 6757, 1208 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA with military honors being presented at 3:00 P.M. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S.
