Obituary of Roy W. Miles Sr.

Roy W. Miles, Sr., age 73, of Knoxville, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 27, 2024. He was born on March 15, 1951, in Westfield, PA, a son of William and Rebecca (Gunn) Miles. Roy was the husband of Rosalee (Earle) Miles. He worked as a carpenter and landscaper for Mountain Home Services and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and tinkering. Roy is survived by his wife, Rosalee; a son, Jason Miles of NJ; a daughter, Angie (David) Schmidt of Cary, NC; three grandchildren, Marlo Schmidt, Emily Miles and Trevor Miles; brother, Russell Miles of Westfield, PA; sisters, Margaret (Richard) Mead of Westfield, PA, Mary Miles of Whitesville, NY, Dorothy (Jim) Robertson, and Esther (Lloyd) Hand of Harrison Valley, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Roy Miles, Jr., and a sister, Martha Schmidt. A graveside celebration of life will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Tioga County Memorial Gardens, 61 Memorial Gardens Rd., Mansfield, PA., with Vane Gunn officiating.
