Obituary of Bruce R. Hoyt
Bruce R. Hoyt, age 72, of Mainesburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at his home. He was born on August 19, 1951 in Rochester, NY, a son of LaVern Robert and Gloria E. (Wright) Hoyt. Bruce was married to Joan E. (Lisowski) Hoyt. He worked at Ward Manufacturing as a lead industrial mechanic. Bruce was a member of the Morris Run Legion. In his spare time, he was a master mechanic of foreign cars and a mechanic of Corvair's and small engines.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Joan; a son, Justin C. (Bonnie) Hoyt of Covington, PA; a daughter, Amanda L. Harkness of Melbourne, FL; a grandchild, Cordeelya Harkness of Gillett, PA; a brother, Brian Hoyt of FL; and two sisters, Judie Quigley of Clifton Springs, NY, and Janet Schwitttek of Rochester, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Tom, Stephen, and Eugene Hoyt.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 12:30-1:30pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 1:30pm with Reverend Bryan Wright officiating. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
