Obituary of Frederick T. Prothero
Frederick T. Prothero, age 80, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, in his home. He was born on June 4, 1943, in Antrim, PA, a son of Carlton and Hazel (Copp) Prothero. Frederick was a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army and a truck driver. He enjoyed traveling, spending time at classic car shows, watching baseball and golfing.
Frederick was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Quinn; a grandson, Dillon Gilmer; a brother, Lloyd Smith; and four sisters, Ruth Ann Smith, Emily Newton, Janet Slusser, and Donna Slusser.
Frederick is survived by his son, Timothy Prothero of State College, PA; five daughters, Tina Prothero of State College, PA; Holly (Aaron) Gilmer of Colorado Springs, CO; Hope (David) Goncalves of State College, PA; Brandi Lynn Prothero of Palatka, FL; and Samantha Prothero of Palatka, FL; four stepchildren, Teri (Michael) Roquemore of San Angelo, TX; Denny Boswell of Lakewood, OH; Kate (Tim) Todten of Medina, OH; and Bill (Laura) Quinn of Brunswick, OH; 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and two sisters Cindy Marshall of Roaring Branch, PA and Barbara Bryan of Florida.
Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 10-11am at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A graveside service will follow at Wellsboro Cemetery in Wellsboro, PA. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
