Obituary of Travis Ronald Hagar
Travis Ronald Hagar, age 33, of Boalsburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
He was born on July 26, 1990 in Wellsboro, PA, the son of Ronald Hagar and Gwen (Patterson) Stokes, and brother of Alesia (Hagar) Blosser.
Travis was a 2008 graduate of Mansfield High School, where he was involved in band, chorus, Boy Scouts, and tennis. He was also a member of the Mansfield First United Methodist Church. After high school Travis attended Lock Haven University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in psychology in 2014.
Travis had a passion for working in property management and guest services, and worked as the Rooms Division Manager at Carnegie House and Toftrees Golf Resort in State College, PA. Travis took great pride in his work and cherished his work family.
Travis had a wide array of interests, including traveling, cooking, theater/musicals, golfing, skiing, kayaking, hiking, camping, music, and reading. Travis loved exploring new places, experiencing new food and drinks, and planning his next adventure. He was a proud member of the LGBT+ community.
Travis loved to shop, had an impeccable sense of style and design, and was always prepared to dress for any occasion. Travis and his friends held a regular dinner club, and he was often quick to come up with a theme or provide costumes, wigs, or entertainment.
Travis was kind, thoughtful, and loving. He brought brightness and warmth to everyone he knew, and will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, and sassiness that brought laughter to the entire room. Travis thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family. His nephews, Arlo and Ezra, were two great joys of his life.
Travis is survived by his father and stepmother, Ron and Tammy Hagar of Mansfield, PA; mother and stepfather, Gwen and Bill Stokes of Wellsboro, PA; sister and brother-in-law, Alesia and Seth Blosser of Catonsville, MD; and two beloved nephews, Arlo and Ezra Blosser.
