Obituary of John Manikowski
John Manikowski, age 80, of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was born on December 25, 1943, in Blossburg, PA, a son of John and Veronica (Walkowiak) Manikowski. John was a truck driver and a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam war. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Blossburg, PA. John was also a member of Blossburg VFW, Hillside Rod & Gun Club, and American Legion. He enjoyed tractor pulls, puttering and tinkering around the house, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
John is survived by his son, Carey (Cheryl) Manikowski of Middlebury, PA; a daughter, Mindy (Jeremy) Davey of Maine, NY; four grandchildren, Kohle, Parker, Auriah, and Jordan (Cody); two great grandchildren, Iris, and Nora; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George, and Joseph Manikowski. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Blossburg, PA on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10AM with the Reverand Bryan Wright as celebrant. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Blossburg, PA. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S.
