Nell and John,
Alan was one of the good guys as many people have already said. When Alan came around to date Nell he was met with skepticism as to his worthiness to date our sister. It didn't take long though to warm up to him, he became one of "us". We enjoyed being around him and believed he felt the same.
We went camping and fishing and he even caught a big one, but that's a different story. Alan even went so far as to drown me in hills Creek lake by deliberately tipping the canoe and taking the canoe and vests into shore as I was left in the middle of the lake to fend for myself. Those were just a few of the many good times we had with Alan .
You captured our hearts all the way to the end good friend. I'll see you on the other side.

I am sorry to read this. Although I haven’t seen Alan in a long time, I remember him as being one heck of a nice guy. He always had a smile, always happy. My sincere sympathies to his family and friends.
