Obituary of Harvey Adam Rumsey

Harvey Adam Rumsey, age 66, of Covington, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was born on October 27, 1957, in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Harvey and Janet (Mertsock) Rumsey. Harvey was married to Wanda (Hilfiger) Rumsey. He worked as a welder and attended Arnot Community Church. Harvey was a member of the American Legion in Blossburg, PA, Bloss Lodge #350 F&AM. Harvey is survived by his wife, Wanda; a son, Kevin (Amanda) Rumsey of Mansfield, PA; a daughter, Janice (Brandon) Proctor of Covington, PA; mother, Janet Rumsey of Wellsville, NY; seven grandchildren, Alden Rumsey, Adalynn Rumsey, Morgan Rumsey, William Weddleton, Andrew Weddleton, Carson Proctor, and Cody Proctor; two brothers, Dennis (Mary Lou) Rumsey of AZ, and Greg (Peg) Rumsey of Casper, WY. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey A. Rumsey, and a brother, Gerald Rumsey. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 1-2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Ahin Chakraborty officiating.
