Obituary of Ronald Dean Bourdette

Ronald Bourdette, age 78, of Millerton, PA, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at his home. He was born on July 8, 1945 in Troy, PA, a son of Clarence and Rowena (Hill) Bourdette. Ronald was married to Toni (Trumpower) Bourdette. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era War. Ronald worked at LaFrance for 20 years and as a parts salesman for Albee Truck in his later years. He was a member of the Glen Regional Corvette Club. Ronald enjoyed hunting, car shows, drag racing, autocross and spending time with his friends and family. One of his favorite things was attending Sunday night Cruise In's at Cowanesque Lake, eating ice cream and trading stories. Ronald is survived by his wife; a son, Brett (Michelle) Bourdette of Millerton, PA; a daughter, Carrie Lakin of Branford, CT; 1 granddaughter, Kathryn Lakin; a brother-in-law, Russell Tice; sisters, Clarice Lowe of Canton, SD and Sharon (Richard) Bragg of Brunswick, GA; a brother, James Bourdette of Ormond Beach, FL; sisters-in-law, Penny Simpson of Alliance, NC, Bonnie (Phil) Wescott of Clearwater, FL and Candy (Jerry) Crayton of Oneida, NY; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews in the local area. He was preceded in death by parents and a sister, Mary Jane Tice. Visitation will be held at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 3-5 PM with a memorial service to follow, Pastor Harold Burrell will officiate. Tioga County Honor Guard will perform military honors. The burial will take place at a later date at Alder Run Cemetery in Millerton, PA.
