Obituary of Robert F. Schmouder Sr.

Robert Schmouder, Sr., age 76 of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at UMPC Wellsboro Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. Robert was born September 22, 1947, in Leonardsville, NY, a son of Franklin and Alice (Yeagle) Schmouder. Robert was married to Peggy (Crawford) Schmouder. He worked as a machinist at Ward Manufacturing and did carpentry on the side. He was a lifetime member at Arnot Sportsmen's Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Robert is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Tina (Mark) Tomes of New Kensington, PA; sons, Robert (Tracey) Schmouder, Jr. of Mansfield, PA and Richard Schmouder of Wellsboro, PA; a granchild, Kilion Schmouder; and a sister, Mary (Jack) Barr of Liberty, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother, Richard Schmouder and a sister, Shirley Heatley. A visitation will be held at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 3-4 PM with a memorial service to follow, Pastor Bill Baker will officiate. The burial will take place at a later date in Freidens Lutheran Cemetery, Liberty, PA.
