Obituary of Margaret K. Ziegler
Margaret K. Ziegler, age 90, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on January 19, 1933, in Hull, Yorkshire, England, the daughter of the late Oswald and Hilda (Dewhirst) Kenningham. Margaret worked as a high school English teacher in England, Head Start in Lehigh Valley, PA, and the Montessori School in Wellsboro, PA for 10 years. After retirement, she worked for Koch Homestead Realty. Margaret cherished her dogs, Jenny, Ollie, and Angus and loved taking them on walks and hikes. She also loved her cat, Coco. Margaret enjoyed puzzles, reading history and politics, skyping with her family in England, and spending time with her daughter, Jessica.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Gary) Fish of Mansfield, PA; a granddaughter, Abigail "Abby" May Ziegler; a daughter-in-law, Denise Ziegler; a sister-in-law, Ishbel Kenningham of Oxford, England; two nieces, Catherine and Helen; and a nephew, Andrew. She was preceded by her parents; her son, Allan Ziegler in 2001; and a brother, David Kenningham.
