Obituary of George Henry Johnson
George Henry Johnson, age 71, of Arnot, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at The Gatehouse in Williamsport, PA. He was born on August 16, 1952 in Blossburg, PA, a son of Emmitt and Mary (Walburn) Johnson. George was married to June A. (Lindstrom) Johnson. He was a machinist for Stone Container Corporation in Williamsport, PA and was a member of Arnot Presbyterian Church. George delivered home meals, was a courier for First Citizens Community Bank, and drove for the Blossburg Fire and Ambulance and school bus for Hilfiger Busing.
George is survived by his wife of 51 years, June; a daughter, Traci (Matthew) Johnson-Neff of Chicora, PA; two grandchildren, Zachary and Alexis Neff; a brother, Alan (Karen) Johnson of Hunker, PA; and two sisters, Elsie Mutek of Manheim, PA, and Mary Morris of Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Paul and William Johnson.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, January 6, 2023 from 12-1pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will take place in Salem St. Paul Cemetery in Liberty, PA.
