Obituary of Penny Jo Cochenour
Penny Jo Cochenour, age 58, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at her home. She was born on December 14, 1965 in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of Gerald and Joanna (Dean) Goodwin. Penny was married to Jerry Edward Cochenour. She was a social worker for Tioga County Human Services and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wellsboro, PA. Penny enjoyed needle point, spending time with her granddaughters, going out for breakfast on Sunday, and camping and riding golfcarts at Tanglewood Campground with her friends, Ron and Candy Jodun of Waterville, PA.
Penny is survived by her husband; a son, Joshua Thomas (Jennifer) Cochenour of NC, Sarah Ashley Cochenour of Wellsboro, PA; two granddaughters, Emily and Victoria; a brother, Jeffrey (Cindy) Goodwin of Wellsboro, PA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Bert and Ethelyn Goodwin.
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 5-7pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating.
