Obituary of John W. Kerrick

John W. Kerrick, age 82, of Roaring Branch, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the Green Home in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on January 21, 1941, in Canton, PA, a son of Wilbur and Louise (Landon) Kerrick. John was the husband of the late Janet (Neal) Kerrick who died in 2016. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at Ward Manufacturing. John was a veteran of the US Navy and a lifetime member of the Canton VFW. He grew up on an apple orchard and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, farming and playing softball, where he earned the nickname "Catfish". John is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Kerrick of Granville Summit, PA; daughters, Jana Lynne (Daniel) Hughes of Canton, PA, Jamie (Josh Mahosky) Kerrick of Roaring Branch, PA, and Jennifer (Alan) Brown of Grover, PA; grandchildren, Kerrick (Brittany Mosher) Hughes, Chase Brown, Branston Brown, Brayden Brown, Jason Mahosky, Josie Kerrick, Jadyn Kerrick, and Jordyn Kerrick; sister, Betty Sechrist of Canton, PA; brothers-in-law, William Neal and Bud Neal; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, his parents, his parents-in-law, Miles and Alberta Neal, and a brother-in-law, Romaine Sechrist. In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no services.
