Obituary of Lynn Robert Skelly

Lynn Robert Skelly, age 71, of Tioga, PA, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was born on July 8, 1952, in Corning, NY, a son of Harry and Marcella (Reed) Skelly. Lynn was married to Debra (Stalter) Skelly for 52 years. He worked for Ward Manufacturing, Corning Inc., and eventually retired from World Kitchen. Lynn was a wrestling coach at R B Walter Elementary School and Williamson Jr./Sr. High School for 45 years, his students referred to as "Skelly Skrappers". He was a member of IBEW and Corning Union 1000. Lynn is survived by his wife, Debra; sons, Craig (Carol) Skelly of Tioga, PA and Kris (Emily) Skelly of Hadley, NY; daughter, Shana (Mark) Smith of Millerton, PA; 10 grandchildren, Gabbi Skelly, Tyler (Meghan) Skelly, Sara (Matt) Macbrine, Zoe Skelly, Alexandria (Zach) Kriner, Jessica Skelly, Megan Skelly, Zack (Paige) Smith, Kasey Skelly and Beau Smith; 3 great grandchildren, Cullen, Daniel and Kieran Skelly, but known to many others as "Grandpa"; brother-in-law, Richard (Vickie) Stalter of Westfield, PA; brothers, William (Molly) Skelly of Nelson, PA and Terry (Mary) Skelly of Texas; sister, Irene (Bill) McNeill of Tennessee; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Skelly of Florida. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rose (Ted) Elwell, Butch Skelly, Tom Skelly, and Gene Skelly. Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 4-6pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield. The funeral will follow at 6pm with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating.
