Obituary of Frank C. Tacka

Frank C. Tacka Jr. age 83 of Blossburg, PA died Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Frank was the husband of Yolanda (Frederick) Tacka with whom he would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on November 3, 2023. He was born on January 7, 1940, in Blossburg, PA, a son of Frank C. Tacka Sr. and Martha (Bubacz) Tacka. He had been employed in his younger years at Blossburg State Hospital. Frank retired from Mansfield University in 1992 after many years of employment. He was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Frank was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He spent many years volunteering at the fish hatchery in Blossburg, PA. He was a long-time member of the Hillside Rod and Gun Club in Blossburg, and a social member of the American Legion in Morris Run. Frank is survived by his wife, Yolanda; two sons and daughters-in-law Christopher (Robin) Tacka of Millerton, Kirk (Karen) Tacka of Sewell, NJ; three grandchildren Abbie, Izzy, and Nicky; a special niece, Lori Watkins of Ogdensburg, PA, a special cousin, Judy Creeley of Williamsport, PA, and a nephew Larry Watkins. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Jane Watkins. A private family service will be held at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA at a later date with the Rev. Bryan Wright officiating.
