Obituary of Thomas Koser

Thomas C. Koser, 81, of Millerton, Pa. went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at home after a brief illness from a rare lymphoma. He was born March 4, 1942 to Jean Koser Gerner. He is survived by his wife, Jean, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on August 3. He is survived by son, Duane and wife Robin, He was also known as Grandpa Tom to step grandchildren Robert, Micah and Chase and their families. Son Dean and wife Christina. Also surviving are grandchildren: Brandon Koser (Leslea), Breanna and Jake Ameigh with Anderson, and Mistie and Cy McKee with Connor and Emma. In addition to being a big brother to Mary Zeller, his brothers Mike, Jeff and Eddie and a son-in-law Jeff Ballard and family also survive. Tom was predeceased by a daughter, Marcia Ballard, brothers Richard and Greg and a sister, Karen. Tom was a long-time member of Jackson Summit Baptist Church and worked with the youth group for many years, driving the church van to pick up kids for youth night. He also served as a deacon and trustee. He and Jean entertained many missionaries over the years and would appreciate any memorial contributions be made to the Jackson Summit Baptist Church mission fund, 2851 Route 328, Millerton, Pa. 16936. Friends are invited to join the family at a graveside service on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 2:00 at the Maple Ridge Cemetery, Jackson Summit. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 23 at the Jackson Summit Baptist Church, Millerton, Pa., at 2:00 with a time of visitation with the family beginning at 12:30.
