Obituary of Howard Frey
Howard L. Frey, age 80, of Liberty, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023, with his wife and son by his side. He was born on May 11, 1943 in Jersey Shore, PA, a son of Herman and Frieda (Robinson) Frey. Howard was a hard worker, he worked for Park Mount Farms before going into business with his son, John, hauling logs. In 2012, he started driving part time for B&D Trucking in Liberty and then onto Campbell Trucking in Galeton. He was a member of the East Point Ebenezer Church, Knights of Pythias and a senior member of the East Point Fish and Game Club.
Howard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Confair) Frey; his son, John Frey of Liberty, PA; a daughter-in-law, Janette "Jen" Frey Lutz of Liberty; two grandchildren, Jacob (Stephanie) Frey of Blossburg and Emma Frey of Liberty; his brother, Kenneth (Joyce) Frey of Linden; a sister, Jean (Bill) Slykhuis of Linden and two great granddaughters, Elena and Eva Frey of Blossburg. Howard was predeceased by his parents, a son, Charles Frey and his sister, Anna Marshall.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 10 – 11 AM at East Point Ebenezer Church, 10925 State Rte. 414, Roaring Branch, PA 17765 with a funeral to follow at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Friedens Lutheran Church Cemetery, 741 Brick Church Road, Liberty, PA 16930. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to East Point Ebenezer Church, P.O. Box 4, Liberty, PA 16930.
