Obituary of Nancy Anne Kent
Nancy Anne (Shaw) Kent, age 81, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was born on April 22, 1942 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of Edson and Nellie (Smith) Shaw. Nancy was married to Charles Almon Kent with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage on August 26, 2023. She worked for Gannon Associates as a secretary and attended Mainesburg United Methodist Church. Nancy enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, and was a member of Quilting on the Ritz.
Nancy is survived by her husband; her children, JoAnne (David) Horchler of Millersburg, PA, James (Susan) Kent of Huntington, WV, and Janice (Debbie Powlison) Kent of Mansfield, PA; six grandchildren, Kent (Nicole) Horchler, Kimberly Horchler, Kathleen Kent, Amber (Zach) Rohrberg, Landon Kent, and Gianna Kent; two great grandchildren, Charlee Loncar, and Kent Horchler, Jr.; and a brother, Edson Shaw, Jr. of Mansfield, PA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Cowles.
Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 1-2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Bill Baker officiating. Burial will take place in State Road Cemetery in Mainesburg, PA. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
