Obituary of Helen K. Rose
Helen K. (Houser) Rose, age 100, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Sheila's Personal Care Home in Mansfield, PA. She was born on March 27, 1923 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of Verde and Hallie (Dean) Houser. Helen was married to the late Ellsworth Rose who passed away on April 16, 2011. She worked as a secretary for American Red Cross and the unemployment office. Helen enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, traveling, coloring, puzzles, and winters in Florida with her husband.
Helen is survived by her sons, Larry E. (Sherry) Rose of Crossville, TN, James W. (Pam) Rose of Crossville, TN, and Terry L. (Kathy) Rose of Wellsboro, PA; a daughter, Carol (Dave) Tobias of Elkland, PA; seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Robin, Brian, Tim, Mike, Kelly, and Chris; and nine great grandchildren, Michael, Reagan, Riley, Cannon, Jackson, Hallie, Tommy, Taylor, and Elizabeth; and three great great grandchildren, Gabriella, Nevaeh, and Jalen. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Frost.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 1pm at Tioga County Memorial Gardens in Mansfield, PA with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating.
