Obituary of Nancy J. Cole

Nancy J. (Russell) Cole, age 82, of Tioga, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on June 28, 1941 in Elkland, PA, a daughter of Garland and Mary (Zigland) Russell. Nancy was married to the late R. Sterling Cole. She was a chef for Penn Wells, Indian Hills, and Corning Country Club. Nancy enjoyed crocheting and gambling. Nancy is survived by her son, John (Cathy) Cole of Lawrenceville, PA; three daughters, Mary Gardner of New England, Margaret (Charlie Draper) Briggs of Tioga, PA, and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Tim) Bruffey of Buena Vista, CO; a stepson, Rick (Dorla) Cole of Tioga, PA; and a stepdaughter, Joy Moros of Clearwater, FL; fifteen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a sister, Delores Andrews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00am at Hammond Cemetery in Tioga, PA with Reverend Bryan Wright officiating.
