Obituary of George Borden
George Elwin Borden, age 90, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away at his home on Friday, July 21, 2023. George was born May 27, 1933 in Tiadaghton, PA, a son of Wayne and Florence (Faulkner) Borden. George retired from Corning Glass Works where he worked as an electrician. He was a proud veteran, and enjoyed WWII history, restoring his 1943 Willys Jeep, hunting, and fishing.
George is survived by his daughters, Kimberli Carson of Wellsboro, PA, Lisa Greeley of Wellsboro, PA, and Amy Rottiers of Shermans Dale PA; 7 grandchildren Lindsey Carson, Lauren (Jason) Wallenhorst, Leanne (Will) Osgood, Devon Greeley, Nicholas Rottiers, Nathan Rottiers, and Jacob Novinger; 3 great grandchildren Emmie and Blake Wallenhorst, and Kendall Osgood; and the mother of his children, Reita Borden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Jonathan Greeley; brothers, Wayne Borden Jr., Charles Borden, and Robert Borden; and his sister, Thelma Losinger.
