Obituary of Debbie Bowen
Debbie Sue Bowen, age 68, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was born on October 20, 1954, in Elizabeth, NJ; daughter of Richard "Pop" and Gladys (White) Haag. Debbie lived a life of adventure and was always a believer in love and peace – a true hippie at heart. She worked for many years as a teacher at both North Penn and Mansfield High Schools, known to many of her students as "DB". Education and helping others were her passions and she lived her passions to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, and her happy place was at the beach. Debbie was an amazing cook and baker; she had a green thumb and could make any plant look efflorescent and beautiful. Debbie's favorite thing in the world was to spend time with her family! Her kind, generous, hilarious, and wise spirit will continue to live on in the many whose lives she has touched.
Debbie is survived by her daughters Dawn (Robert) Smith of Mansfield, PA, Jessica (Jeremiah) Trump of Tioga, PA, Erin Tomko of Mansfield, PA, and son Riley Bowen of Carlisle, PA; grandchildren, Kaynen (Crystal), Demetri, Dorien, Hailey, Amari, Devyn, Dawsyn, Dai'kai, and Dylani, Lila, Bella, Kyle, Jasmine, Raelyn, Gabriel, and Hope; brothers, Donald (Mary) White of Newfoundland, Canada, Richard (Betty Ann) Haag, Jr. of Blackwood, NJ, Billy (Bunny) Haag of Scottsdale, AZ, and Bobby (Mary) Haag of Phoenix, AZ, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins and countless friends, including her best friend Mimi Cannon of Plant City, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; "Uncle Herbie" Haag; and a nephew David Haag.
