Obituary of Francis R. Jerzak

Francis R. Jerzak, age 96, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Green Home in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on February 26, 1927, in Ogdensburg, PA, a son of John and Catherine (Marchinock) Jerzak. Francis was the husband of the late Leonore D. Jerzak who died on March 16, 2012. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard where he served aboard the USS Hugh L. Scott. Francis worked at Ingersoll Rand in Phillipsburg, PA and enjoyed bowling, yardwork, going to antique car shows and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Francis is survived by his sons, Michael (Ginger) Jerzak of Washington, NJ and Eugene (Ann) Jerzak of Erwinna, PA; grandchildren, Sarah Jerzak, Emily (Jim) Goins, Amanda Jerzak, Andrew Jerzak, Timothy (Amy) Jerzak, Allison Jerzak, Zacharia Gilder, Caleb (Stephanie) Gilder, Ben Jerzak, Parry (Kate Messinger) Jerzak, Jacob (Mary) Jerzak and Michael Jerzak; great grandchildren, Josiah Goins, Norah Goins, Adrienne Gilder William Jerzak, Gavin Jerzak, Isadore Jerzak, Victoria Jerzak, Patrick Jerzak, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leonore; a daughter, Beverley Gilder; parents, John and Catherine (Marchinock) Jerzak; brothers, Isadore Jerzak, Edward Jerzak, John Jerzak and Valerian (Genevieve) Jerzak; sisters, Eleanore (Edward) Ogrodowski and Clara (Joseph) Carra. Friends and family are invited to call from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Holy Child Catholic Church, 242 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA with Reverend Bryan Wright as celebrant.
