Obituary of Fay Arlene Jones

Fay Arlene (Bastian) Jones, age 90, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at her home. She was born on August 24, 1932 in Mansfield, PA, a daughter of Lloyd Franklin and Mary Ellen (Pickering) Bastian. Fay graduated from Mansfield State College in 1971. Fay taught at Blossburg Elementary School for 25 years until her retirement in 1996. Fay was pre-deceased by her husband, Larry R. Jones; a son David Jones of Coram, MT; parents, Lloyd and Mary Bastian; a sister, Virginia Mae Smith; and two brothers, Lloyd Franklin Bastian, Jr., and Glenn Bastian. She is survived by a daughter, Michele Swain of Mansfield, PA; three sons, Michael Jones of Mansfield, PA, Robert (Paula) Jones of Tioga, PA, Todd (Kris) Jones of Fredericksburg, VA; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Jack Bastian of Corning, NY; and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery in Mansfield, PA.
