Obituary of James F. Giles

James F. Giles, age 90, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on July 16, 1932 in Sullivan Township, PA, a son of Wilson D. and Hilda (Ripley) Giles. James was married to Celeste (Jackson) Giles, and they would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on September 4th, 2023. He was a truck driver for Dalrymple and attended Bakerburg Community Church. James enjoyed watching cows, spending time with his grandchildren, and was a life member of the Mansfield Fire police. James is survived by his wife; a son, James (Terri) Giles of Mansfield, PA; two grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Giles, and Tara (Mark) Dittrick; four great grandchildren, Michael and Micah Giles, and Caleb and Joshua Dittrick; and two brothers, Wilson Delos (Tressa) Giles of Mansfield, PA, and Richard (Laura) Giles of Mansfield, PA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Brown. In honoring James' wishes, there will be no services. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
