Obituary of Janet Jones

Janet M. (Andrus) Jones, age 91, of Tioga, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 18, 1932 in Elmira, NY, a daughter of Thomas and Irene (Hamilton) Andrus. Janet was married to the late Charles Jones, Jr. who passed away on March 25, 2020. She owned the former Jones' Dairy Treat with her husband. Janet was a member of Tri Lakes Chamber of Commerce and charter member of Tioga Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, and baking. Janet is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Roberta) Jones of Tioga, PA, and Keith (Linda) Jones of Tioga, PA; two daughters, Linda (Barry) Wood of Dansville, NY, and Sheila (Max) Dibble of Canton, PA; eight grandchildren, Darla (Bryant) Smith, Jamie (Matt) Orzolick, Tim (Crystal) Jones, Josh (Samantha) Wood, Amy (Chad) Chervinsky, Hunter Dibble, Kelsea (Nathan) Shope, and Lindsea (Seth) Jones; twenty great grandchildren; and a brother, James Andrus of MD. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Herbert Andrus; a sister, Evelyn Gilbert; and a half sister, Marlea Palmer. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 11am-12pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 12pm with Pastor Betsy Hules officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Tioga, PA.
