Obituary of Mary Young

Mary Young, age 57, of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at her home. She was born on October 18, 1965 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Lewis Marble and Esther (Tongue) Root. Mary was a cashier for the Exxon in Mansfield and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Mary enjoyed driving and listening to music, shooting pool, and loved the ocean and being outside. Mary is survived by her boyfriend and father of her children, William White, Sr. of Blossburg, PA; three sons, William T. (Betty) White, Jr. of Mansfield, PA, Shawn L. White, Sr. of Blossburg, PA, and Jeremiah O. Wimbrough of Coudersport, PA; four grandchildren, Ariana White, Sadie White, Shawn White, Jr., and Miah Wimbrough; two brothers, Roger (April) Marble, Sr. of Mansfield, PA, and Oliver (Melody) Marble of Wellsboro, PA; two sisters, Georgia Mae Root of Erie, PA, and Floral Irene Root of Elmira, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Young; three siblings, Quincey Root, Cathy Gotschall, and Steve Marble; and a niece, Kristi Brown. Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 2-4pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 4pm with Rev. Janis Yskamp officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
