Blossburg has harbored a treasure for years
in a lovely, Victorian house:
A brilliant professor whom many revere,
along with his lovely and spirited spouse.
Gifted and curious, a scholar was he,
A traveler far ‘round the world.
Then thoughtfully, humbly, and intelligently
he shared with us what he had learned.
During the school year he worked with his mind,
but during the summer, that varied.
He took up construction with teacher friend Miles
and built up his muscles instead.
Bill loved precision and beauty and thought.
We who knew him found this to be true.
He did with his might and his mind and his heart
whatever his hand found to do.
Now Blossburg will gather with friends from all places,
To let you know, Bill, that we came
to thank you for sharing your many fine graces.
