Obituary of James Charles Lain Sr.
James Charles "Jim" Lain, Sr., age 67, of Millerton, PA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born on March 18, 1955, in Corning, NY, a son of Archie and Virginia (Spicer) Lain. Jim was the husband of Pamela (Mathews) Lain. He worked as a well driller for Hess Well Drilling for 40 years and was a lifetime member of the Millerton Fire Department in Millerton, PA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
Jim is survived by his wife, Pamela; children, Charles Richard Mathews of Millerton, PA., Carey Wood of Elmira, NY, James (Erica) Lain, Jr. of Wyalusing, PA., Michael Lain of Elmira Heights, and Delisa (Jeremiah) Rangstrom of Horseheads, NY., grandchildren, Tamantha, Nathan, C.J., Guage, Jana, Kyle, Aniston, Kiara, Tyler, Derrick, Jaelynn, Brittney, David, Brennick, Marcus, Kylie and Miah; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Sheila) Lain of Montoursville, PA; sister, Linda (Raym) Souders of Manheim, PA; good friends, Jim Beatty of Millerton, PA; Scott Hess of Tioga, PA, and Joe Disbrow of Elmira, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Kanisha.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 P.M.
