Obituary of Theodore Wilcox
Theodore Ted Wilcox, age 77, of Mansfield, PA, died Friday, June 13, 2008 at home in the arms of his loving wife and daughter. Ted and Sylvia would have celebrated their 57th anniversary on August 5th. He was born November 27, 1930 in Sylvania, PA, a son of Morris and Louise (Mason) Wilcox. Ted was a farmer for many years, drove school bus, and a van for Martha Lloyd. His favorite past time was riding horses with his granddaughters and playing cards. Ted was a member of the Covington Church of Christ (Disciples).
Ted is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Chamberlain) Wilcox; a daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and James VanDergrift of Mansfield, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Nan Wilcox of Covington, PA; 4 grandchildren, Ryan Wilcox, Mara Wilcox, Jessica VanDergrift and Joleen VanDergrift; a brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Barb Cowan of Elmira, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Melvin Hayes of Elmira, NY; a special friend and helper, Harold Frost; many nieces and nephews, loving friends and neighbors. Ted was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 16, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday, June 17, 2008 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ira Hindman officiating. Burial will be in Knowlton Cemetery, Whittaker Rd., Covington, PA.
