Obituary of Judith J. Bott
Judith Jane (Storch) Bott, of Mansfield, PA, formerly of Allentown, died peacefully at The Laurels of Wellsboro, PA. on 16 Jan, 2023. She was the eldest daughter of three girls born to Frederick and Jane (Viehe) Storch of Allentown, PA. She was preceded in death by her sisters Phyllis Deppe of St Charles, IL and Jane C. Storch of Bethlehem, PA.
Judy was married to William B. Bott, Sr from Brooklyn, NY for 48 years, who passed away in 2003. They had five children together. Her second son, Richard P. Bott passed away in 2008. Survivors: son, William B. Bott Jr (Anna) of Venice, FL; daughter-in-law, Deborah Bott of Clarendon Hills, IL (surviving spouse of Richard); daughters, Karen Snyder of Mansfield, PA, Kathy Rauch (Robert) of Fairview, NC, Jennifer Wojcikowski (Richard) of Homewood,IL; survived by eight grandchildren, Neal Bott, Olivia Bott, Tali Snyder, Austin Snyder(Heidi), Troy Snyder(Casey), Noah Wojcikowski , Callisto Wojcikowski, Elizabeth Wojcikowski, step-granddaughter Robin Rauch and preceded in death by Abigail Bott (daughter of Richard and Deborah). Judy also had two great-grandchildren, Ronin (son of Tali) and Amelia ("Millie") Snyder (daughter of Troy and Casey).
Judy was a 1952 graduate of Catasauqua, PA High School and a graduate Registered Nurse of The Allentown School of Nursing class of '55. Judy worked in Elder Care nursing for 40 years providing comfort and love to hundreds of Seniors during her tireless support through Private Duty, Skilled and Residential nursing. She is retired from Phoebe Devitt Home of Allentown, PA. She worked for Broad Acres Nursing home and did work at the Carleton Home, both in Wellsboro, PA.
Judy had a beautiful singing voice and contemplated attending Julliard School of Music but decided to pursue a career in Nursing, being a loving, caring, people person. She sang in various church choirs throughout the years in both Allentown and Mansfield, PA and was an active participant in the local Allentown Community theater shows. Judy and her beloved husband, Bill, greatly enjoyed sharing their musical talents through the years and were thrilled to see this talent and tradition carried on in their family.
Judy was a member of the Mansfield Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Mansfield. Judy had a strong, life-long faith in Jesus Christ, which she shared about freely with family and friends. Judy found joy in gardening and especially loved flowers.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 10-11am at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 11am. Memorial Contributions can be made to Good Shepherd Home, Bethlehem, PA.
