Darrel found his calling as a logger for 19 years, owning his own business and as tree trimmer for years prior. He tried to give up logging once but "once a logger, always a logger" He was a hard worker. He had an incredible love for his children and always strived to give them the best. Darrel loved nature and he found peace in the woods. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He often spent his spare time in his garage or researching topics of interest to hands on learning a new trade. He was a Jack of all trades - but he mastered a lot of them. He could paint vehicles like no other, most anything brought to his garage he could fix. Darrel was a music enthusiast, he always had music playing, if there was live music playing, he would find it, and he always enjoyed discovering new songs. There was a need for speed in his veins and you could find him right in his element at the drag strip. Darrel was never scared to take on new opportunities and he did everything with honesty and integrity. He had very strong values and was well liked by everyone, mostly due to his positive energy. His laughter was contagious. Darrel had incredible patience, and always made time to help others. His legacy will carry on forever in our hearts. He was larger than life, his shoes can never be filled.
