Obituary of Marcus W. Strange

Marcus W. Strange, age 80, of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on January 8, 1942 in Blossburg, PA, a son Russell and Marie (Adele) Strange. Marcus worked for Ward Manufacturing as a machinist and was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He enjoyed riding bicycle and hiking. Marcus was very eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a man of God and an outdoorsman. Marcus is survived by his son, Mark Anthony (Wendy Belawske) Strange of Arnot, PA; two daughters, Debra (Bob) McConaghay of Middlebury, PA, and Marcia Dyke of Winter Garden, FL; five grandchildren, Rachel, Emily, Chantel, Dustin, and McKenzie; four great grandchildren, Brinley, Chavella, Draven, and Brooke; a brother, Joseph "Randy" Strange of VA; and a stepbrother, Richard Strange of Mansfield, PA. In honoring Marcus' wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made to Blossburg UMC Food Pantry 108 N. Williamson Rd. Blossburg, PA 16912. Burial will take place in Bath National Cemetery in Bath, NY. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
