Obituary of Barbara Snyder

Barbara (Burns) Snyder, age 92, of Elmira, NY, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at her home. She was born on April 10, 1930 in Beverly, MA, a daughter of John A. and Irene (Walsh) Burns. Barbara was married to the late Robert L. Snyder. She worked as a teacher's aide for Headstart and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Elmira, NY. Barbara enjoyed bowling, spending time with her grandchildren, dancing, going to the casino, bingo, needlepoint, and her dog, Lady. Barbara is survived by her sons, Robert "Bob" (Judy) Snyder, Jr. of FL, Thomas "Tom" Snyder of Elmira, NY; two daughters, Deborah May (Gary) of Elmira, and Brenda (Luke) Wandell of Elmira, NY; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Madeline Pabis of Elmira Heights, NY; and a sister-in-law, Delores Burns of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Kathleen Decker; three brothers, Paul, Michael, and John Burns; and three grandchildren, Jacob, Michelle, and Timmy Snyder.
