Obituary of Richard W. Heatley
Richard W. Heatley, Sr., age 71, of Liberty, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, PA. He was born on July 30, 1951 in Williamsport, PA, a son of Edwin and Norma (Broughton) Heatley. Richard was married to Charity (Rothermel) Heatley. He was a mechanic supervisor for E&J Trucking in Liberty, PA and a member of Victory Church in Troy, PA. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, camping, and traveling out west. He was an instructor for trapper education for HTE. Richard was also a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War.
Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years; a son, Richard (Melissa Burley) Heatley, Jr. of South Williamsport, PA; two daughters, Lori A. Heatley of Johnstown, PA, and Beth (Chad Jelliff) M. Heatley of Tioga, PA; ten grandchildren, Kylee, Madison, Dannyelle, Whyatt, Michael, Cody, Kyle, Brett, Bre, and Gavyn; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald (Carlene) Heatley of FL, and Robert (Beverly) Heatley of Roaring Branch, PA; a sister, Leah Kelly of Liberty, PA; and a sister-in-law, Sue Heatley of Liberty, PA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alta Miller; a brother, John Heatley; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Heatley.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 10:00 am- 11:00 am at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc. 637 S Main Street Mansfield, PA with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating.
