Obituary of Edward T. Whitten

Edward T. Whitten, Sr., age 66, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at his home. He was born on March 11, 1956 in Camas, WA, a son of John and Barbara (Patterson) Whitten. Edward was married to Jacqueline (Langs) Whitten. He worked in carpentry and enjoyed tinkering. Edward is survived by his wife; a son, Edward Whitten, Jr. of Mansfield, PA; a daughter, Leann (Kenneth) Smith of Mansfield, PA; three children, Colleen (James) Cherwinski of Wellsboro, PA, Deborah (William McAlister) Bacon of Saladasburg, PA, Amy Bacon of Wellsboro, PA, and Daniel Bacon of Dubois, PA; nine grandchildren, Cheyann, Brandy, Dakota, Justin, Carmon, and Damion Hurlbert, and Samara, Kaleb, and Kendra Bacon; a sister, Adella Osterich of Kirksville, MO; and three brothers, Charles Whitten of Goldendale, WA, Richard Whitten of Goldendale, WA, and Ronald (Barbara) Whitten of Kirksville, MO. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Briggs. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 2pm Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA.
