Obituary of Floyd E. Young, Jr.

Floyd E. Young, Jr., age 87, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at his home. He was born on March 19, 1935 in Tioga, PA, a son of Floyd and Genie (Finch) Young, Sr. Floyd was married to Virginia (Gleason) Young. He was a truck driver for Corning Glass. Floyd enjoyed hunting, square dancing, country music, playing cards, and gardening. Floyd is survived by his wife; two sons, Floyd (Cathy) Young III of Mansfield, PA, Howard (Jane) Young of Mansfield, PA; a daughter, Becky (John Grover) Cummings of Mansfield, PA; six grandchildren, Aaron, Kelly, Floyd IIII, Ryan, Misty, and Kasey; and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Kenneth Young; and two sisters, Gertrude Whitney, and Dorothy Cummings. In honoring Floyd's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will take place in Middlebury Union Cemetery in Middlebury, PA. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
