Obituary of Anita Jackson
Anita June Jackson, age 74 of Tioga, PA passed away at Williamsport Hospital on Friday, June 17, 2022. She was born on June 10, 1948, in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Harry W. and Emma B. (Simmons) Hughes. Anita was the wife of Charles Jackson. She worked at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital and loved gardening, flowers, and ceramics.
Anita is survived by her husband; her sons, Robert (Paige Hughes) Shutter of Tomaqua, PA, and Scott Jackson of Elmira, NY; her daughters, Roseanne (Marvin) Barrett of Lawrenceville, PA, Patricia (Greg) Williamson of FL, Deborah Barrett of Elmira Heights, NY, Sherry Torres of PA, and Michelle (John) Lomozik of Elmira Heights, NY; Several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers, Raymond Hughes of Sayre, PA, Ivan (Wanda) Hughes of OK, Mark (Janice) Hughes of Wellsboro, PA; her sister, Eleanor (Layne) Conrad, Mansfield, PA; and sister-in-law, Linda Hughes. Anita is preceded in death by her brothers Russell Hughes and Glenn Hughes.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 1:00P.M. to 2:00PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 2 P.M. with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
