Obituary of Mary Lynn Stone
Mary Lynn Stone, age 75, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on May 1, 1947 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of Clarence and Bernice (Shaw) Chilson. Mary was married to Benjamin N. Stone. She was an administrative assistant for Human Service Agency and was a member of Hillcrest Seventh Day Adventist Church and volunteered at their thrift store. She was a foster mother to numerous children and enjoyed going to yard sales.
Mary is survived by her husband; two sons, Matthew Thomas-Malani of Wilkes Barre, PA, and Zane Stone of SC; two daughters, Nicole Ott of Wellsboro, PA, and Amie Mendosa of Spokan, WA; a foster son, Ryan Missimer of Osceola, PA; and four grandchildren, Caspian Stone, Elijah Mendosa, Madison Mendosa, and Kirsten Ott. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Don, Thom, and Robert Chilson; and a sister, Ruth Patterson.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 3-4pm at Hillcrest Seventh Day Adventist Church 14677 Route 6 Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 4pm with Pastor Mark Cockerham officiating. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
