Obituary of Kathleen Ann Evans
Kathleen Ann Evans, age 88, formerly of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on August 5, 1933 in South Boston, MA, a daughter of William and Kathleen (Morrissey) Anderson. Kathleen loved the Red Sox, Ireland, and singing MacNamara's Band to her grandchildren. After the death of her husband, Morgan Evans in 1976, she worked hard to support her three children. She retired from Human Services Providers. Education was very important to her. You could always hear her encouraging someone to continue their education. She lived by the motto Every Minute Counts.
Kathleen is survived by her two daughters, Jeanne (Chris) Gaugler of Mansfield, PA, and Nancy (Curt) Runyan of Wellsboro, PA; son, Bill (Tracy) Evans of Beachwood, NJ; her grandchildren, Kyle, Kirk, and Abby Lefelhoc, Tanner and Skylar Runyan, Morgan, Nick, Chris, Skye, and Samara Evans; step grandchildren, Ashley Gaugler and Heather Cooney; a brother, Larry Anderson; and a sister, Carole Gilberti. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan; a brother, Jack; and a sister, Dorothy Louise.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11am at Holy Child Catholic Church 242 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA with Reverend Bryan Wright as celebrant. Burial will take place in Arbon Cemetery in Blossburg, PA. Services are under the direction of Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA.
