Obituary of John Eugene Brarens

John "Gene" Eugene Brarens III, age 83, of Lindley, NY, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, April 22, 2022. He was born on March 16, 1939 in Somerville, NJ, a son of John and Anne (Diener) Brarens. Gene was married to Patricia (Nagy) Brarens. He served in the Navy and worked as a Senior Engineer for Corning Incorporated. Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, building, camping, and golfing. Gene is survived by his wife; two sons, John Eugene (Christine) Brarens the 4th of Wilmington, NC; James "Jim" (Amber) Brarens of Lindley, NY, and four grandchildren, John Eugene Brarens the 5th, James Eric Brarens Jr., Caitlyn Rose Brarens, and Emily Jane Brarens; a sister-in-law, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Laura Williams, Peter Brarens, and James Brarens. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
